This furniture piece is a figurehead for the Minotaur Project, a critical research project conducted during my final semester at Parsons School of Design in New York City, and is 1/3 of an interactive exhibit showcasing this research. This research resulted in a design framework which emphasizes a socio-ecosystemic approach to creative practices. Its principles center ideas of conceptual and physical authenticity, versatility, and multidimensional interaction. This framework applies to the final furniture piece, but also the processes as well; special attention was paid to the integration of death cycles, source sharing, transparency, localism, and avoiding overly invasive/ disproportionate treatments.
