Steel, Cast Iron, Glass
2021
Inspired by the claw-foot tub in my childhood bathroom and the myth of Baba Yaga, the Jewelry Dresser is a scaled down version of a design originally intended for a commode. There are four main cabinets in the steel body, two external side pockets, and four rods at the back of the cabinets that allow necklaces to rest upright, preventing tangling and unnecessary crowding. Depression era jadeite hardware and cast iron feet belonging to a 19th century stove are mechanically attached to the body.
